Accessibility
Everyone in the household should be able to use Mealplum. We design for that from the start.
What we aim for
We work to make the Mealplum app and this website conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, level AA, and to support the accessibility features built into iPhone.
- App controls are labeled for VoiceOver, and the images on this site have text descriptions.
- Text meets AA contrast, nothing on this site is smaller than 13px, and the site works with browser zoom.
- Everything on this site works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Motion on this site is kept to a minimum, and it stops entirely when your device is set to reduce motion.
- Cook mode uses large text and a dark screen, one step at a time.
Known limits
Some app screenshots on this site are pictures of the app. We describe what they show in their text alternatives, but small details inside them can’t be read by a screen reader. We keep testing and fixing what we find.
Tell us about a problem
If something in Mealplum or on this site is hard to use, please write to support@mealplum.com with “Accessibility” in the subject. Tell us what you were trying to do and, if you can, which device and assistive technology you use. A real person replies, usually within 24 hours, and we’ll help you get it done in the meantime.
